6" to 36" Bao Nipple Gong Instrument for Sound Bath

• Personal & Travel (20"-24"): Ideal for home altars or mobile therapists. Compact but lacks the "rumble" of larger gongs.
• 1-on-1 & Small Groups (26"-30"): Most Popular. Fills a standard therapy room or yoga studio with rich sound.
• Large Sound Baths (32"+): Essential for large halls or outdoor events. Creates a physical "wall of bass" that immerses a crowd.

Sound volume and physical vibration capability increase with size:

• 22"-26": Intimate sessions (1-on-1) or small rooms (up to 5 people).

• 28"-32": Medium studios (5-15 people). Everyone in the room will feel it.

• 36"+: Large halls, yoga studios, and retreats (15+ people). Capable of "filling" a large space with sound pressure.

• Choose Planetary if you work with astrology, archetypes, or specific cosmic energies (e.g., Venus for love workshops, Sun for empowerment).

• Choose Chakra if you focus on the physical/energetic body (e.g., Reiki, Yoga). They are easier to integrate into standard healing modalities.

Physics. Unlike standard gongs where we recommend "bigger is deeper," tuned gongs must be a precise diameter and thickness to hit their exact frequency (e.g., Earth Year 136.10Hz requires the physics of a 30"-36" gong). We cannot change the size without losing the tuning.

• Wind Gong (Flat): "The Liberator." Crashes quickly with shimmering, high-frequency splashes. Great for releasing stagnant energy.

• Chau Gong (Rimmed): "The Grounder." Sustained, majestic, and deep. Builds up slowly. Ideal for trance and meditation.

• Nipple/Bao Gong (Raised Center): "The Focus." Features a raised bullseye. Produces a clear, fundamental tone with less crash/wash. Excellent for keeping a steady rhythm.

These are premium Chau Gongs precisely tuned to the frequencies of celestial bodies based on Hans Cousto's "Cosmic Octave." They bridge astronomy and sound healing to invoke specific archetypal energies.

Why is the frequency different from Solfeggio (e.g., Root 396Hz)? Our gongs follow the Cosmic Octave (Hans Cousto), based on planetary physics. While Solfeggio is popular in digital audio, the Cosmic Octave is the standard for acoustic instruments, creating a physical resonance deeply connected to nature's cycles.

Yes. Since every hand-hammered gong is unique, we strive to provide accurate representations.

• Note:* The tonal depth increases with diameter—a 32" will sound significantly deeper than a 24".

• Cheap Gongs: Often mass-produced from thin brass sheets. They sound flat, tinny, and have short sustain.

• Our Gongs: You are investing in a professional musical instrument, not a decoration. Each gong is hand-forged from premium B20 Bronze (80% copper + 20% tin) or Alloy Nickel Silver to produce the rich, complex harmonics required for genuine sound therapy.

Soul vs. Science.

• Industrial Brands: Often use CNC machining or Nickel Silver for a very clean, predictable, "clinical" sound.

• Healing Sounds: We use traditional B20 Bronze and hand-hammering. This creates a warmer, earthier, and more complex "shamanic" tone—at a fraction of the price because you buy direct from the source.

Yes. They are the daily drivers for sound healers, yoga teachers, and meditation centers worldwide. We strictly use the B20 Bronze alloy because it creates the full spectrum of binaural beats needed for deep brainwave entrainment.

Yes. High-quality instruments should be accessible. You can split your purchase into interest-free installments using Afterpay, Klarna, or ZIP at checkout.

Note:* Available payment methods and eligibility vary based on your location and cart total.

Look for the hammer marks. A real gong is not smooth; it has thousands of divots created by a master smith's hammer. These imperfections are what allow the metal to sing. If it looks too perfect, it was likely stamped by a machine and will lack soul.

• Bonus: Every gong is energetically cleansed and blessed by a Reiki Level 3 practitioner before shipping, ensuring high vibrational purity.

• B20 Bronze (80% Copper / 20% Tin): Used for most of our gongs (Chau, Wind, Planetary). It produces the classic, warm, and complex "wah-wah" sound essential for therapy.

• Nickel Silver Alloy: Used specifically for our Mirror Gongs. This alloy allows for a stunning reflective finish and produces a sound that is slightly clearer and more focused than bronze.

Yes. We work with a family-owned forge in Asia, the historic birthplace of gong-making. We have partnered with these master artisans for over 10 years, ensuring fair labor practices and traditional craftsmanship. Every single gong is individually inspected for sound quality before leaving the workshop.

Strike it gently. A high-quality gong will have a long sustain (the sound hangs in the air) and will "bloom" (the sound expands and grows after the strike). It should not have a rattling or buzzing noise unless specifically designed for effect.

Shipping is 100% FREE for all Gong orders. We cover the heavy freight costs so you don't have to.

Because we ship directly from our forge to your door to cut out middlemen:

• Fabrication & Tuning: 5-12 business days (meticulous hand-forging).

• Express Shipping: 3-12 business days (via DHL/UPS/FedEx depending on location).

• Note:* Custom large gongs (40"+) may take slightly longer to craft.

Gongs are heavy but delicate instruments. We use a triple-layer protection system:

1. Protective wrapping around the metal.

2. Impact-resistant foam cushioning.

3. Heavy-duty reinforced wooden crate or cardboard box.

• Broken on arrival? It's extremely rare (<0.5%), but if it happens, we send a replacement immediately. Zero stress for you.

Yes, we ship worldwide. However, please note that import duties/customs fees may apply depending on your country's regulations, which are the responsibility of the customer.

We offer a 60-Day "Love Your Gong" Guarantee. If it doesn't resonate with you, you can return it.

• Insider Insight: Only ~3% of customers request a return. In almost all cases, it's because they wish they had bought a larger size.

• Advice: A gong lasts a lifetime. If you are hesitating between two sizes (e.g., 24" vs 28"), we often recommend investing in the larger one. You will never regret having more depth and resonance, but you might regret having "too little" sound later on.

We guarantee that your gong will arrive in perfect condition and free from manufacturing defects. If there is any issue with the sound quality or structure upon arrival, we will replace it at our cost.

Every gong comes as a complete starter kit (Worth $213+):

• The Gong (obviously!)

• Premium Gong Bag (for protection & transport).

• High-Quality Felt Mallet (matched to the gong size).

• 528 Hz Miracle Tuning Fork (DNA Repair/Love Frequency).

• Tibetan Healing Bracelet.

• Complete Mastery Guide (E-book).

• Note:* The Gong Stand is sold separately unless explicitly stated in the product title (e.g., "Gong + Stand Bundle").

Yes, unless you plan to hold it by hand (only for small gongs <22").

• C-Stand: Best for single gongs, compact spaces, and seated playing.

• Wheeled Stand: Essential for large gongs (30"+) or if you need to move it around a studio.

• Browse our Stands Collection here.*

They are substantial instruments. A 32" gong can weigh 10-15kg (22-33lbs).

• Safety Warning: Do not hang large gongs from standard wall hooks or DIY setups. We strongly recommend using a dedicated Gong Stand designed to bear the weight safely and allow the gong to swing freely for optimal sound.

• Soft Felt Mallet (Included): Your primary tool. Creates the deep fundamental tone and warm wash.

• Friction Mallets (Flumies): For creating "whale songs" and singing effects.

• Hard Mallets: Generally avoid these on large bronze gongs to prevent damage and harsh sounds.

Gongs are low maintenance.

• Dusting: Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth.

• Deep Cleaning: Instructions for safe cleaning (avoiding harsh chemicals that strip patina) are detailed in your Complete Mastery Guide.

• Storage: Keep it in its bag or on the stand in a dry place.

It's very difficult to damage a bronze gong with a soft mallet, but technique matters.

• The Golden Rule: Never strike with a hard object.

• Warm it up: Always "prime" the gong with soft taps before a loud crash.

• Full safety and playing protocols are covered in your included Complete Mastery Guide.*

At Healing Sounds, there is no difference in quality. We do not sell "souvenir" or "tourist" gongs. Every single gong is professional-grade.

• The real difference is SIZE.

• Professional Sound Baths: We recommend 30" to 40"+ so clients can feel* the physical vibration.

• Personal Meditation: 24" to 28" is the sweet spot.

• Accents / Travel: Smaller gongs (6" to 22") are great for adding specific high-frequency accents or for traveling therapists, but they don't offer the full-body immersion of larger models.

• The Foundation: Start with a 32" Chau Gong. It provides the deep, grounding "Om" tone essential for anchoring a session.

• The Expander: Add a 28" or 32" Wind Gong. Its shimmering crash clears energy and brings the "light" to balance the Chau's "dark".

• The Specialist: Once you have your foundation, add Planetary Gongs (e.g., Venus or Sun) and Chakra Gongs to offer themed workshops and specific energetic treatments.
