Special Lyre strings for the Pures "Athena" Lyre

F.A.Q.

• Will these strings improve the sound quality of my lyre?

Absolutely! Using high-quality replacement lyre strings that are specifically engineered for your instrument makes a significant difference. Worn or broken strings dull the resonance and tonal clarity of your lyre, whereas fresh, properly matched strings restore the rich, vibrant sound essential for meditation, sound healing sessions, or mindful playing. These strings are crafted to deliver consistent tone and reliable performance every time you play.

• Are these strings compatible with my 16-string lyre?

Yes! These strings are designed exclusively for 16-string lyres of this model type, ensuring a precise and secure fit. Each string in the set corresponds to the correct gauge and tension requirements of the instrument. We always recommend confirming your lyre's string count before ordering to ensure the best possible fit and optimal sound performance.

• What material are these lyre strings made of, and are they durable?

These are original high-quality strings crafted to meet the tonal and structural demands of a precision lyre instrument. They are built for durability and consistent playability, holding tune well even with regular use. Whether you use your lyre for daily sound healing practice, meditation, or musical performance, these strings are designed to maintain their integrity and beautiful resonance over time.

• Can I use this lyre during meditation or sound healing sessions after restringing?

Absolutely — in fact, restringing with quality lyre strings is one of the best things you can do before a sound healing or meditation session. Fresh strings vibrate more freely, producing cleaner, more resonant tones that support deep relaxation and energetic attunement. Once you've replaced your strings, we recommend letting them settle for a short tuning period so your lyre delivers its most harmonious, healing sound.

• How should I care for my lyre strings to extend their lifespan?

To extend the life of your replacement lyre strings, wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth after each playing session to remove finger oils and dust. Store your lyre in a protective case away from extreme humidity or temperature changes, as these can cause strings to corrode or lose tension over time. With consistent care, your strings will maintain their bright, clear tone and serve your practice beautifully for longer.
